Through the force of your charge, you end up as hoped as two units, having burst through the front row of the assembled Saxon rebels. Eventually you come to a stop and find yourselves and your opponents neatly balanced against each other, a mass of noise and chaos as everyone pushes to gain some advantage in the start of the battle, the adrenaline still flowing freely!

*****
This Round’s Army Intensity = Last Round’s Final Army Intensity + 3d6-10 Battle Events
=18 + (6+4+1-10) = 19

Unit Intensity = Army Intensity + Battle Size Modifier + Terrain Modifiers + Battle Zone + Unit Cohesion
=19 + 0 + 0 + 10 (zone 6) + 0 = 29

You have also opted to split into two units. What I need then is each unit leader to make an opposed Battle roll against the Unit Intensity of 29.

Can I suggest the following divison of knights into the two units, with the Unit Commanders in bold:

Sir Madog
Sir Mennon
Sir Pelaran
Sir Cynon

Sir Meliaunce
Sir Baer
Sir Rhys

Against Sir Madog's unit, I rolled a 10, which modifies to a 19. A straight success.
Against Sir Meliaunce's unit, I rolled a 1, which modifies to 10. A straight success.

Make your rolls, discuss the possible options as a unit, and let me know what you want to do - the maneuver tables you'll need to refer to are in the notes I sent you. I can clarify anything you're unsure of in them (I hope!).

Let's start a new thread for each unit - make your responses there:

Bringing together the results from Round Two we have:

Sir Madog's Unit - This is a UNIT WIN, meaning that you can move ahead 1 Zone, but no changes to Army Intensity from you. Costly in terms of followers, weapons and a wounded horse, but you'll start the next round in Zone 7, and so your Unit Intensity could be lower.

Sir Meliaunce's Unit - A UNIT TRIUMPH!
You achieve your aim effortlessly, withdrawing into Zone Five, whilst disengaging from your foe. Not only will you now have a significant drop in your Unit Intensity for next round, but you have also reduced the Army Intensity by Two too!

Combining these scores, we have a net decrease to the Army Intensity of 2, making it 17 at the end of the Round. I'll post again later today.
