The BBC are running a set of documentaries at the moment looking at the cultural impact of the Norman conquest (http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/features/norman-season/). There's one on the evolution of the Arthurian legend in the post-conquest era coming up which looks like it might be directly relevant to Pendragon, but some of the others look interesting as well.
The one on tonight is about the Domesday Book and for those unfortunates who can't access BBC material he presenter, Dr Stephen Baxter (the medievalist rather than the SF author) runs an interactive Domesday book at domesday.pase.co.uk (http://domesday.pase.co.uk) where you can plot the estates of named landholders onto maps, although you might want to hold off on checking the link as he was on the Today programme this morning talking about it, so it's been a bit sluggish.
Regards
Luke
[edit]Hmmm the link doesn't appear to work from this post, you could try www.pase.co.uk (http://www.pase.co.uk) instead.
