I was browsing around the main site the other day (like ya do...) and came across an alternate character sheet (http://www.gspendragon.com/houserulescharactersheet.pdf) (PDF link) on the Player Knights page that I'm totally in love with. The text accompanying the link to the sheet says:

John [Wiberg]'s house rules character sheet in pdf format. Includes house rules: passions have checks in both directions and maintenance is divided differently than KAP & BoM. Includes some glory stuff as well.

Looking over the sheet, I see indications of some other intriguing house rules as well (shield damage for one). Does anyone know if these house rules have been posted anywhere on the internet? Googling has turned up nothing. Is John Wiberg on these boards? Paging Mr. Wiberg... ;D

That's an interesting sheet. I've never seen it before.

Hi there you have most of it here:
http://www.gspendragon.com/roundtable/index.php?topic=312.msg2427#msg2427

Greg shouldn't have used my name but instead used my tag "Spoonist" that way you could have found me by searching the tag.

The most obvious house rules are
-the positive and negative checks for passions
-that you can get 4 checks in one year, the first two simply, the third by deed, the fourth only by unique greatness

Shield damage since you mention it is per 5 damage rolled 1 damage goes to the shield. Axes doing 2 per 5 rolled.
First you put a line in the boxes, when you have filled the whole shield it covers only 3p, then you do crosses until the shield is totally thrashed.
This gives a lot of good roleplay for getting squires to give a new shield. It also lets you "wear down" a player knight's shield so that smaller opponents can have a go etc.

Any question you can shoot in the topic linked above.

Edit: Looking at the link that version is old. If anyone is interested I've got a later version as well

Fantastic--thanks! :D

We started using the new character sheet last session and really liked it. I look forward to going over the house rules in detail. The shield damage rules are of particular interest to me for all the reasons you mentioned.

Thanks again!

By the way, where did you find the link on the main site?

It's on the "Player Character Knights" page (or as the link off the main page calls it, the "Your Knight Characters" page):
