I've read it was a " no win " battle.

Have you checked also in the Saxon! book if there are more infos about that?
I think this battle is just a "teaser" of the campaign, to show to the PC how a battle is handle in Pendragon.

The GPC records it as a Medium battle. According to KAP pg. 207 this means 2,001-5,000 participants (knights, squires, footmen etc. etc.)
Note, it mentions the players being led by Sir Amig. This should read Sir Elad.

Spear is right, the GPC says that there is no decisive victor, no clear winner. I like this about Pendragon battles, as in 'real life' there are often no winners in war...

In the Saxon! book, they say that in 485, Aelle is victorious. Wich version is right?

It depends how you look at the situation. From the Britons view, they didn't throw the Saxons back, they didn't defeat them decisively, so they see it as a 'no winner'. From the Saxons, they took land and kept it. That means they won.
