View Full Version : 1st Edition Map Online?

Completist that I am, I recently picked up a PDF of the 1st edition boxed set. I was most impressed by the map, which I found in some ways superior to later editions. Unfortunately, the PDF scan cuts off the margins of each 8x10 section of the map--when I printed it out to assemble, there were big chunks missing along the boundaries between pages!

Does anyone know if the map has been scanned and posted online anywhere as with the 4th and 5th edition maps?

Did anyone reply to you, Sir Larkins? I'd be interested in just seeing the map. I don't think I've ever seen it.

Years ago I scanned the 1st edition map to a PDF file. I have not posted it due to concerns that it is copyright protected. I would be glad to fork it over to Greg for posting to this site.

@Gwarddur: If you could make that happen, I'd be eternally grateful. I can't imagine there'd be a copyright issue since the 4th and 5th edition maps have been freely circulating for years. Let me know if you get it posted! :D

Please note everyone: the appearance of those map does not in any manner indicate legality, nor any lack of potential copyright problem.
It just means that someone has violated the copyright of the publisher and artist.

Hi Greg,

The PDF was emailed. It's a large file. If my email server gags on it I may need to burn to a DVD a mail a copy.

The 5th edition map of Britain was made freely available by white wolf when they had the rights to Pendragon, as a game aid. I can't remember whether that happened with any of the others.

Many email servers limit file sizes to 10mb or so, and often uploading a file increases its file size by about 50% during the transfer.
Uploading to something like mediafire or some other free file host, where you can password protect the file or make it available only to people you choose, might be a good option.

I regularly send large pdf files (2000-3000 k) to Greg via gmail. Is this file is any bigger than that?

I have the file and have begun arrangements for it to be available online.
