I have looked over all of the books for 5th edition, including BOKL, BOTM, the GPC and 5.1, but I can't seem to find an indication as to how much gothic and full plate cost. (I very vaguely recall something about it being very difficult to order a piece of gothic plate in Toledo, in which one could make an order which would be added to an immense backlog, but I can't recall where I read that.) If there is no 'official' price, about how much should it cost to buy these two varieties of armor?

GPC, p. 311 in the Tournament Circuit Adventure:

"Rich knightly gear and steed in the middle of the Period is 16-point plate armor (£14), plus a Friesian (£32). This has a replacement cost of £46."

I couldn't find Gothic Plate anywhere, though.

Shouldn't gothic armor be imported from Germany/Milan (though not really gothic in style of similar AP)?

I think that is probably something that will be in "Book of the Baron".

Depends just how much anachronism you are willing to stomach. :) I mean, Germany is the place where these smelly Saxon barbarians are coming from, right? Milan I could understand, having been the center of Late Roman imperial administration.

But, given that Camelot is supposed to be this shining beacon of chivalric excellence, I think in Our Campaign, the place to go for the best armor would be Camelot. Of course, something like a gothic plate would be the speciality of one single master armourer, with a waiting list years long...

Which reminds me. Just how resellable is full/gothic plate mail? I mean, a chain mail hauberk is almost one size fits all, and relatively easy to add a few extra rows of links if necessary. Even Partial Plate I can see getting adjusted with straps and such, although the breastplate probably is less forgiving for a 'differentially shaped' physique. But once you get to articulated joints and all that, how much room wiggle room you have between different users? And how would this get reflected on the resale value?

Armories are licensed by the king
Every baron has one
During Anarchy, anyone can make one of course
It costs the same as a Blacksmith, £15 (BoM p 18) plus £1 per year extra for the superior smith

Of course, during the Anarchy Period the cost of iron skyrockets--anyone without an iron mine has to pay £1d6+3 per year to get it
I will have a list of iron mines in the upcoming Book of UIther

My shot at an answer to the armour size question is to say that full/gothic plate can only be worn by an individual with the same SIZ as the individual it was made for. If you want even more personalized fit then require the same STR as well. For a more adjustable fit allow SIZ +/-1 to fit.

Plate harness was generally speaking not made at comital armories or even royal ones in the middle ages, though Henry VIII set up a royal armory. it took as large number of armourers to make plate harness and the individual parts were often bought separately. captured plate harness should not fit a knight who captures it. The cost of the finest custom made Milanese plate harness was 2,000d or in livestock 33 1/3 cows, so convert to Pendragon prices using cows if you want to sell it, but a more common plate harness was only worth around 480d but should also be less protective. these prices don't include the cost of the linen armours worn under them, which could cost more than the amour itself.

Greg if you want to use castle armouries one has to include the cost of a tilt mill, as the iron or steel billets used to make sheets of plate from were beaten into sheets by them rather than the hammers of the smiths.

Of course, but those armories revealed thus far are not for the Middle or Late Phases anyway.

But of course player knights will capture some of those full or gothic plate armor from their rich opponents. The first set they keep for themselves but more sets they'll sell off for profit. For how much could you sell such a suit. Or what if a rich opponent wants to ransom back his armor, how much should he pay?
[aka everything has a price, even gothic plate]
