This is how we make standard characters in my campaign. It assumes that starting characters are household knights from Jagent, but it could easily be adopted to any campaign if anyone likes it.

It simplifies some things, make some things a bit more logical, and gives a bit of background color to the PKs.

The most important change is, I guess, the way that Attributes are generated. It's basically a semi-random system, or, rather a random system with minimums and maximums to give playable (but different) PKs.
