has anyone used these old pendragon rpg products to ran saxon or norse mini campaign? my players are itching for some pendragon but i would love to first hit them with something a little bit shorter and more streamlined in order for the to get a feel of the game and for me to get a feel of them.

If you do "Saxons", you are still running a pretty long campaign, from Vortigern to Badon.
The adventure in Land of Giants is shorter, because it is the Beowulf saga, but then it losses the timeframe continuity.

My campaign spent 3 years going from the beginning of the GPC to Badon.

If you want a "shorter" campaign, you might think about going from "Arthur pulls sword from stone" to "Battle of Badon".

In Savage mountains is a short campaign (Bulith war it is called if I remember correctly). It is only a few years.

One of my favorites as it puts the PKs in charge of the situation. At least in theory.

The only thing I disliked was the randomness of the relationships of the tribes.

I have used the Land of the Giants in this way Uther is dead anarchy rains what knights are left need an an army to defeat the saxons they heard a fierce tribe known as the Danes have kicked the saxons off the continent so the player knights decide to sail to Zealand along the way the rescue beowulf from his stupidity when he accepted the challenge of a swimming contest and got swept out to see the player knights tell him and he directs them to Great their wulfgar the messenger awaits Beowulf selected 12 of his warriors to go plus the player knights, every thing you need to run this mini campaign where the knights help beowulf defeat grendel or the wendol if you like the 13th warrior angle! My players loved it even though most of them died they showed up just to here me tell the tale and help me run support characters I had fun running it and they had fun playing it!
